Process of implementation
This specialized project at the Semirenkivske UKPG aimed to implement an on-site nitrogen generation system to support gas-lift operations in mature wells. The scope included designing a robust cryogenic or membrane-based nitrogen unit, constructing supporting infrastructure, and installing control systems to integrate the facility with existing wellheads. During commissioning, our team calibrated flow rates and pressure levels to ensure the gas-lift technique would effectively boost hydrocarbon recovery.
Overcoming challenges
Combining nitrogen production with gas-lift technology required precise process modeling to balance injection volumes and avoid over-pressurization. Our engineers conducted extensive simulations to validate design parameters. Another challenge was ensuring the reliability of the nitrogen supply in remote conditions. By implementing redundant systems and advanced monitoring, we achieved stable, continuous operation that has increased overall production and extended well lifecycles.
